The group’s agricultural platform, Elaia, is engaged in the production of citrus and other crops. The Group’s overriding goal is to offer high quality products and food safety, developing production systems that are both sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Elaia’s activity has a whole host of effects on its environment, ranging from producing healthy food and professional soil treatment, to revitalising the areas in which its plantations are located and generating secure jobs for its workers.
The environment is a stakeholder of utmost importance, and for this reason, Atitlan’s production adheres to the principles of GLOBAL GAP and the GRASP module, to ensure that it is safe and sustainable, and to ensure adequate social conditions for the workers in the fields.
Sea Eight is an aquafarming company specialized in the production of the highest quality sole using sustainable land-based processes.
The company is a world leader in developing technology for efficient and environmentally friendly recirculating aquaculture systems. Its innovative production processes safeguard animal welfare and minimise the impact on the sea.
A clear commitment to R&D investment
Sea Eight uses a mere 3% of the new water that would be required in a traditional fish farm, as a result of applying RAS technology for cleaning, recycling and recirculation of culture water. RAS stands for Recirculating Aquaculture System. This system, designed and optimised by the company’s technical team, ranks among the most advanced in aquaculture technology from the standpoint of sustainability, process control and food safety.
